Israeli President Moshe Katsav reportedly met secretly with a Palestinian official to discuss a possible cease-fire between Israel and the Palestinians. The head of Israel’s Shin Bet security service took part in the meeting last Thursday, which was held with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s knowledge, reports said.
