Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak “lacks a desire to work with us in order to achieve a comprehensive lasting peace,” Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat charged after meeting with President Clinton at the White House. He said more U.S. intervention would be needed to reach an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord.
