Arie Stern, Israeli representative in Italy, Was honored at a reception here last night. Hundreds of Italian Jaws and Jewish refugees at present in the country attended the reception.
Among the prominent Jewish leaders who honored Stern were Chief Rabbi David Prato; Dr. Raffaele Cantoni, chairman of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Italy; Leon Bernstein, chairman of the Jewish Refugee Organization; and Prof. Selig Brodetsky, one-man London branch of the Jewish Agency executive. Saturday, Stern attended services in the Great Synagogue of Rome, where he was blessed by Chief Rabbi Prato.
