Israeli security forces apprehended two Palestinians planning to assassinate the brother of Israel’s army chief of staff, according to Israeli news reports. Israeli police stopped a car near Jericho carrying the Palestinians, who admitted to planning to kill Col. Shlomo Mofaz, brother of Lt. Gen. Shaul Mofaz.
