Israeli security officials recommended closing three West Bank colleges considered centers of Hamas and Islamic Jihad activity. The officials recommended closing the Palestine Polytechnic Institute and the Islamic College in Hebron, and the Islamic College in Abu Dis. More than 5,000 students attend the institutions.
