Israeli soldiers thwarted two attacks Thursday in the Gaza Strip. In one incident, troops shot and wounded an armed Palestinian who had breached a settlement fence with a ladder. In another incident, soldiers fired at an armed Palestinian who approached an army position in southern Gaza, and the man ran off.
