The Government of Peru’s Libertad Province has awarded a contract for Israeli technologists to conduct a feasibility study for small irrigation projects, it was reported here today. Israelis were chosen to conduct the study because of the similarity between the topography of the province and that of Israel.

In Lima, meanwhile, Zvi Neumark, director of Israel’s Cotton Council, has arrived to participate in the plenary session of the International Cotton Advisory Council. Israel has the highest output of cotton per acre.
