Israeli tennis star Anna Smashnova advanced to the semi-finals in the Canberra Women’s Classic. Smashnova, ranked 68th in the world, defeated Emelie Loit of France in a 6-3, 6-0 quarterfinal. The semifinal takes place Friday.
