Israeli Water Contamination Experts Participate in Seminar

An 11-day seminar on the contamination of water resources, jointly organized by the governments of Argentina and Israel and the Organization of American States (OAS), ended here last week. Among the participants in the conference were Israeli Ambassador Eleazer Doron, United States Ambassador John D. Lodge, and the Undersecretary of Water Resources in Argentina, Antonia P. Federico.

Speaking at the opening session of the conference attended by representatives of 17 countries Doron stressed that the seminar was valuable in developing a dynamic and fruitful exchange of scientific and technical knowledge between the countries involved in the discussions.

He cited the conference as new evidence of the important relations and cooperation between, the countries of North, Central and South America and Israel in coping with the problem of water contamination. Doron also pointed out that Israel has made extremely valuable contributions in this field and is ready to share them with other nations.

Federico acknowledged the participation of Israeli experts in the conference and stressed, that their contributions were invaluable to the other participants. The countries involved in the conference were Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
