A public opinion poll published in Yediot Achronot today reported that 43 percent of the respondents favored Defense Minister Ezer Weizman’s ideas for a response to the American questions on the future of the West Bank and Gaza Strip over those of Premier Menachem Begin which were endorsed by a majority of the Cabinet Sunday. Only 27 percent supported Begin’s position and 15 percent were “undecided.” The poll was conducted by the “Dahaf Co.” from a random sampling of telephone owners.
