News Brief

Israel’s air force killed a top Gazan terrorist.

Ibrahim Ulba, leader of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine in the Gaza Strip, died in an aerial missile strike early Tuesday.

Several other Palestinians were wounded.

Israeli sources said Ulba was involved in cross-border rocket salvos and in planning recent attempts to send terrorists into Israel from Gaza.

Formed in 1969, the Marxist DFLP has largely been sidelined in contemporary Palestinian politics though it continues to cultivate ties with the dominant Hamas and Fatah factions.
