Israel’s ambassador to the United States told American Jewish leaders that the supplemental aid for Israel has been “sweetened” by agreeing to give the full $1 billion right away. Israel had been seeking $4 billion in military aid in a war funding package that is expected to be brought to Capitol Hill in coming days.
