Israel’s army chief of staff said Iraq had chemical weapons before the U.S. invasion last year. In an interview published Monday in Israel’s Yediot Achronot newspaper, Lt. Gen. Moshe Ya’alon said Israeli intelligence identified Iraqi aircraft that were designed to deliver chemical weapons in attacks on the Jewish state.
