Israel’s beaches are disappearing, a report found. According to Sunday’s report by the Society for the Preservation of Nature, issued as beaches officially opened in Israel, only 6.9 percent of the Mediterranean coastline and 2.9 percent of the Sea of Galilee’s coastline are available for public bathing.
