Israel’s defense minister is expected to meet in the coming days with settler leaders to try to persuade them to voluntarily evacuate some illegal outposts. The goal is to remove 12 illegal outposts in the West Bank that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon committed himself to removing at last week’s summit in Aqaba, Jordan, the daily Ha’aretz reported.
