Israel’s defense minister ordered the army to evacuate 15 settler outposts in the West Bank. A spokesman for Benjamin Ben-Eliezer declined to name the outposts, but said most of them were remote footholds established by settlers in recent months in response to attacks by Palestinian gunmen on settlers traveling West Bank roads.
