Israel’s defense minister says a fence along Israel’s border with the West Bank could be completed within a year. Benjamin Ben-Eliezer told Labor Party ministers on May 30 that detailed plans for the fence have been presented to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, and that subcontractors were being recruited to start work.
