Israel’s education minister said she ordered textbooks to include the Green Line as a way to combat student ignorance about Israel’s history. “I was discovering more and more ignorance about the history of Israel in general,” Yuli Tamir told JTA on Saturday at the Saban Forum, an annual colloquy of Israeli and U.S. leaders, taking place this year in Washington.
