Israel’s Education Ministry and members of a kibbutz are protesting a decision by the Israel Antiquities Authority to temporarily move to the Vatican a 2,000- year-old boat believed to have been used by Jesus. The critics say the decision to move the “Jesus Boat” for three months will harm the relic, which is a tourist attraction for the collective near the Sea of Galilee.
