Israel’s High Court of Justice was asked to order the release of Palestinian security prisoners from the Gaza Strip. According to a High Court petition filed Sunday by the Israeli-Arab lawmaker Ahmed Tibi, the Fourth Geneva Convention requires that Israel, having quit Gaza, free all residents of the territory taken prisoner as part of a political conflict.
