A call to Jews in Israel and in countries abroad to subscribe funds for the Red Mogen Dovid to purchase badly needed ambulance for Israel’s hospitals and first aid centers was issued here following the conclusion of the first conference of the Israel Mogen Dovid.

The organization, which has just received its formal recognition from the government–which places it on the same national footing as the Red Cross in other countries–has 32 branches in Israel, with some 10,000 volunteer workers on its membership lists. President Weizmann, Premier David Ben Gurion and members of the Cabinet sent greetings to the conference.
