Israel’s Inner Cabinet decided to continue adhering to a U.S.-brokered cease-fire plan, but also agreed to continue the policy of targeting suspected Palestinian terrorists. Israeli officials defended the policy, which was criticized a day earlier by the U.S. State Department, as a matter of self-defense.
