Israel’s Labor Party decided not to leave the coalition government. Labor Party officials reached the decision Wednesday during a meeting in the office of Foreign Minister Shimon Peres. The officials had been angry after the Cabinet earlier this week designated the Palestinian Authority a “terror-supporting entity” — a move Labor officials believe will delegitimize Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat as a potential negotiating partner.
