Israel’s Likud Party will make strong gains over Labor when early elections are held, according to a new poll. The poll by the Dahaf Institute also put Prime Minister Ariel Sharon ahead of Foreign Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the favorite for the Likud leadership, by 44 percent to 38 percent.
