Israel’s military operation last month in the West Bank caused some $300 million to $400 million in damage, a U.N. official said. Among the places hardest hit was Nablus, the West Bank’s largest city, where there was an estimated $110 million in damage, said Tim Rothermel, the special representative of the U.N. Development Program responsible for the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
