Israel’s New Ambassador to Costa Rica Presents His Credentials

Joshua N. Shai, Israel’s new Ambassador to Costa Rica, arrived here to present his official letters of credence to President Mario Echandi Jimenez. The ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow morning.

During his visit here, Mr. Shai will also confer with the Foreign Minister and other members of the Cabinet. Early next week he will go to Managua, to present his letters of credence to the President of Nicaragua. Until now, Israel was represented in Guatemala, Costa Rica and Nicaragua by its Ambassador to Mexico. Mr. Shai makes his headquarters at Guatemala City.
