Israel’s prime minister said he could call new elections if efforts to rebuild his government fail. “If I don’t have a majority this week, then maybe we’ll have to go to elections,” Ariel Sharon said in a New York Times interview published Monday, referring to a bid to persuade the United Torah Judaism faction to join his coalition.
