Vice-President Hubert H. Humphrey, now on a tour of Africa, met in Liberia with Israel’s Minister of Social Welfare, and discussed matters of interest to the two countries, it was reported here today. Dr. Burg, like the Vice-President, had come to Liberia to attend the swearing-in of President William Tubman for another term of office. The Israeli Welfare Minister arrived in London last night for a weekend of conferences with various Jewish leaders in Britain.
