Israel’s wine export to the United States is to be greatly increased, it was announced here today by the economic department of the American section of the Jewish Agency.
The announcement said that 35,000 cases, representing a retail value of $900,000, are to be shipped from the famous Rishon Wine Cellars to the Israel Middle East Corporation in New York, for distribution throughout the United States. This represents an increase of approximately $700,000 over wine exports to the U.S. during 1949.
