Italian Jews Protest Austria’s Refusal to Meet Jewish Claims

A note protesting the Austrian Government’s failure to implement its promises to reach a mutually satisfactory agreement with world Jewish organizations on restitution and heirless property claims was presented to the Austrian Embassy here today by Giorgi Zevi, president of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities. The note called on the Austrian Government to change its attitude toward the demands of the Committee for Jewish Claims on Austria.
