King Vittorio Emanuele yesterday received Dr. David Prato, new chief rabbi of Rome, and Engineer Recanats, head of the Rome Jewish Community, in a private half-hour audience.
The King asked many questions of Dr. Prato concerning the Jewish community’s organization and general problems in which the community is interested. He also displayed keen interest in the Falashas, Ethiopian Jews, asking many questions about them.
