The Italian Rabbinical Council has been re-formed and is currently beaded by Rabbi Gustav Galo of Piedmont, its new president. The organization, which deals with the study of ritual, protection of the rights of rabbis and with the development of Hebrew education in Italy, was organized in 1920 but fell apart during the Fascist regime.
