Italy to Sequester Reich Jews’ Property

The Times reported from Rome today that the Italian Government has agreed to a German request to place all property owned by German and Austrian Jews in Italy under temporary sequestration until their liabilities to the Reich for taxes has seen examined. Commenting on the fascist race doctrine, the times said that its announcement did not seem to have provoked vide discussion in Italy, adding: ” it is not a subject in which the Italians are greatly interested.”
