Joint Distribution Committee representatives, accompanied by a delegation of rabbis from the Rabbinical Committee of Germany, visited President Chaim Weizmann today and presented him with the first copy of the Talmud (tractate for Sabbath) printed in Germany by the J.D.C. with the active assistance of Gen. Lucius D. Clay, former U.S. Commander in Germany. Copies of the Talmudic volume will also be presented to President Truman and Israeli Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog.
