Zionists today were eagerly awaiting an official statement from J. H. Thomas, new Secretary for the Colonies, which would indicate his policy in the administration of Palestine.

Secretary Thomas was demoted from the post of Secretary for the Dominions, which position is now occupied by Malcolm MacDonald who had been appointed to the Colonial Secretaryship last June.
