The second Jewish banking firm to close as a result of Germany’s financial crisis is the house of Jacob Isaac Weiler of Frank-fort which had been in business for 136 years. The Weiler bank was a pioneer in financing Germany’s dyeing industry. The Darmstaedter und National Bank, headed by Jacob Goldschmidt, had also been suspended, but it was reopened a few days ago.
