J.N.F. Owns 6.9 Dunams of Land for Every Jew in Palestine; Infant Mortality at New Low

There are now 6.9 dunams of land (a dunam is one-quarter of an acre) owned by the Jewish National Fund for every Jew rasiding in Palestine, statistics at a J.N.F. exhibit here reveal. In 1920 there were 7.9 dunams for every Jew.

Infant mortality among the Jewish population in Palestine has dropped drastically in comparison to other medically advanced areas of the world, charts and statistics at the exhibit also disclosed. The present death rate for Palestinian Jewish babies is 31 per 1,000 as compared to 49 per 1,000 in England and 40 per 1,000 in the United States.
