Jacob Trobe, who helped thousands of Holocaust survivors after World War II, died Jan. 19 at the age of 93. Trobe helped direct the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee’s relief programs in Germany and Italy after the war, helping Jews immigrate to Palestine, Australia and elsewhere.
