Jacques Bramson, director of the 1,500-student ORT school in Paris, the largest in the ORT network in Europe, died here last week. An engineer by training, he had been associated with ORT as a teacher and administrator for 26 years.
In 1958, the French Government presented him with the Chevalier Du Merite Social in recognition of his innovations in the training of adults and his services in the rehabilitation of refugees. During World War II, he was a fighter in the resistance against the Nazis, and received the Croix de Guerre and the Medaillie de la Resistance.
