Jaffa Officials Muddles over Lighting of Streets

After a decision to abrogate the agreement with the Rutenberg electric interests the Jaffa municipality called for bids for lighting the city’s streets by gas, but the contractors have submitted such high offers, involving a larger cost than electric lighting, that the municipal authorities now find themselves confused.
