Jannie Brandes-Brilleslijper, the last person who saw Anne Frank alive, died last Friday in Amsterdam at 86. Brandes-Brilleslijper, a member of the Resistance against the Nazis during the war, saw the teenage diarist a few days before she died of typhus in Bergen-Belsen in the spring of 1945.
