The Netherlands Government-in-exile today received information that all Jewish refugees from Germany and Nazi-occupied countries have been arrested by the Japanese authorities in the Dutch East Indies. The arrests took place in cooperation with Gestapo officials.
In Java, a curfew has been imposed upon Jews. The Jewish inhabitants there were informed that they not permitted to leave their homes between 8 o’clock in the evening and 5 o’clock in the morning.
