The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, in response to last week’s earthquake in El Salvador, is opening its mailbox for receipt of contributions to help the more than 8,000 injured and the more than 1,000 families of those who were killed.

JDC president Heinz Eppler announced that the JDC is making a contribution of $10,000 of its own funds towards emergency relief for the victims of the disaster.
