A Bialik Fund for Culture and Education has been established as the result of a conference at Jewish Agency headquarters between representatives of the World Hebrew Union, the Jewish Agency Executive, the Hebrew Authors’ Association and the Hebrew Language Committee of Palestine. A meeting was later held with Dr. J. L. Magnes, Chancellor of the Hebrew University.

The question remaining to be settled is whether the fund will be a permanent one named after Bialik or a one-time campaign, the efforts of which will be used for establishing some academic project which had always been in Bialik’s mind.
