Arkundji, formerly beadle of the Bokharan Synagogue here, has been sentenced to six months’ imprisonment by the District Court for stealing Scrolls of the Law from the synagogue and selling them to a dealer in Scrolls of the Law named Mizrachi, who has also been sentenced to six months’ imprisonment.
