Jeshajahu “Shaike” Weinberg, a founding director of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, died of a stroke Saturday in Tel Aviv. Weinberg, 81, was a founding director of the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora in Tel Aviv and came out of retirement in 1989 to help establish the museum in Washington.
