Jew Convicted of Embezzlement and Collaboration with Nazis Gets New Trial

The Court of Cassation, a Dutch appellate trial, this week-end ordered the re-trial of Frederik Weinreb, 37-year-old Dutch Jew, was convicted on charges of having accepted money from fellow Jews during the ### occupation on the pretext that he would aid them to escape the Gestapo.

The appellate court ordered the lower court which originally convicted Weinreb? and sentenced him to three-and-a-half years imprisonment to rehear the case ###ause additional evidence has turned up since his trial, last November, bearing on archery among the Jews, Among the specific charges into which the higher court ###uired was one that Weinreb had spied on fellow prisoners for the Nazis while he imprisoned in the Sheveningen Prison during the occupation.
