Gerhard Hopp, a Jewish shopkeeper of the town of Stegers, who was attacked by a Nazi shopkeeper of the same town, named Schmidt, who ran up to him shouting: “Now I have got you, you damned Jew”, has died of his injuries to-day in hospital in Berlin, after being detained there for a number of weeks.
