Tributes to the lasting contributions made by Hadassah to health work in Palestine were expressed by Aaron L. Jacoby, Registor of the borough of Kings, and Mrs. Jacobs at the luncheon given by the Brooklyn chapter of Hadassah at the Hotel Astor yesterday afternoon. The luncheon, attended by more than 1,000 women, was the sixth annual affair given by the chapter. The women were greeted by Mrs. Isidor Taub, president.
Mr. Jacoby, who expressed his appreciation for the work Hadassah is doing, also made a plea for a Jewish renaissance, saying “let us be ancestors as well as descendants.”
Mrs. Jacobs, former president of Hadassah and present chairman of the Hadassah University Hospital Building Fund, outlined the lasting importance of the hospital project.
