A series of recommendations for the reorganization of the Jewish Agency was presented today to the Agency’s Executive which convened in Jerusalem. The recommendations were part of an interim report prepared by a special research team on more efficiency in the Jewish Agency’s operations. The report is scheduled to be submitted tomorrow to the Board of Governors meeting.
Leon Dulzin, acting chairman of the Jewish Agency, said in a radio interview that the recommendations would be implemented within a period of two to three years, “We are still operating now as we have been operating for years,” he said. “The world is changing, and one should introduce the necessary changes for the eighties,” Dulzin would not elaborate on the contents of the report before it was presented to the Board of Governors. “There is room for many changes,” he said, summarizing the lessons that may already be drawn by the report. The Executive did not discuss electing a new Jewish Agency chairman.
